Pritty Ghood: the short version

Version 1.0, effective 21 August 2026. This summary is accurate, but it is a summary: the full Platform Terms are what govern.

What Pritty Ghood is. We run a New Zealand marketplace where local businesses (Hosts) rent out physical advertising space, and Advertisers book and pay for it online. The advertising contract for each booking is between the Host and the Advertiser. We act as the Host's agent: we run the platform, collect the payment, and pass the Host their price.

Why we do it. Local advertising money should circulate locally. For every completed booking we donate an amount equal to 6% of the Host's listed price to the charity the Host has nominated. That donation comes out of our service fee. It is our own money that we choose to donate, it is not held in trust for the charity, and the charity cannot enforce it. We publish it because it is a promise we keep, and we pay donations monthly.

What you pay (Advertisers). The Host sets a weekly price. We add an 11% service fee and the card processing cost on top. Pritty Ghood is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged on our fee. You see the full breakdown before you pay. If your card turns out to be issued overseas, the processing cost is higher, the checkout will re-quote you, and nothing is sent until you accept the new total.

How booking works. You request a booking and your card is authorised but not charged. The Host has 72 hours to accept or the request expires and the hold is released. On acceptance your card is charged and the Host is paid. Campaigns run in two week blocks, Monday to Sunday, with at least 10 working days' lead time. The Host photographs your ad in place as proof, and every campaign gets a QR code with scan reporting.

Cancellations and refunds. If you cancel 7 or more days before the start you get 100% of the price and service fee back. Less than 7 days before the start, 50%. After the campaign starts, nothing, subject to your legal rights below. If the Host cancels, you always get the price and service fee back in full, and the Host gets a strike. Three strikes in 12 months and the Host is suspended. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.

Your legal rights. If you are an individual advertising something personal, you are a consumer, and nothing in our terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. The refund table applies in addition to those rights. If you are advertising for a business, our terms include a contracting out of the Consumer Guarantees Act, which is allowed between businesses.

Hosts. You set your price and you receive all of it. You choose which bookings to accept, you must display the ad for the whole campaign, and you must complete Stripe onboarding before you can be paid. You nominate the charity for your bookings' donations. Cancelling an accepted booking refunds the advertiser in full and earns a strike unless something genuinely outside your control caused it.

Other things worth knowing. You must be 18 or older. Ad content must comply with the law and the ASA codes, and the Advertiser is responsible for it. The signwriter directory is introduction only, so any job you commission is between you and the signwriter. Bookings made while payments are switched off are demonstrations and not binding. Disputes go first to us, and the Disputes Tribunal can hear claims up to $60,000. New Zealand law applies.

This is a summary and it leaves things out. The full Platform Terms, version 1.0 are the agreement between us.
