Why clubs list with us

A loyal crowd, and a bar that is busy all week

Bowls clubs have members who turn up several times a week, tournaments that bring visitors from all over, and a bar that is busy well after the green closes. That is a crowd local businesses value. List what you have and let them ask.

  • New sponsors find you

Local businesses browse what your bowling club offers and ask to back you. No more committee members ringing round the same five businesses every pre-season.

  • More money for the juniors

Green and tournament sponsors keep subs down, look after the green and help bring new and younger players into the club.

  • Closer ties with local business

Every sponsor becomes part of the club: they come down on a Saturday, they get thanked in front of everyone, and the members return the favour by shopping with them.

What you can list

The greens, tournaments and the clubhouse

List each one on its own, by the week, the month or the whole season. You set the price for each.

Look after your sponsors

What a sponsor gets from your club, not just a logo

Add any of these to a listing so a business can see exactly what backing you gets them. Sponsors who feel part of the club are the ones who come back next season.

  • A drink at the bar

Welcome at the bar any time, and invited to the club's sponsors' evening.

  • Thanked out loud

Thanked at the tournament prizegiving they sponsor and at the club's annual dinner.

  • A flag at the gate

Their flag at the club entrance on tournament days.

  • A sign in the clubhouse

A framed sign in the bar where members gather after every game.

  • Posts on the club's socials

Their logo on tournament results and a thank you post when they sign up.

  • A roll-up of their own

Bring their team down for a barefoot bowls night on the club.

How it works

It's this easy

  1. 1

    List it

A photo and a price. Free.

  2. 2

    They find you

A local advertiser books your space.

  3. 3

    Advert arrives

It's sent to you or dropped in.

  4. 4

    Put it up

Snap a quick photo so they know it's up.

  5. 5

    You beauty!

All done. The money goes to your bank.

You never design or print a thing. The advert is always supplied to you.

Supporting local

Every booking gives to a charity you choose.

Pick a local cause the club cares about, and every time a business books one of your sponsorships a donation goes to it. It never comes out of the club's pocket, and it is something to tell your members about at prizegiving.

Does it cost the club anything?

No. Listing is free, there is no monthly fee and no lock-in contract. The club is paid the full price it sets.

What should we charge?

Up to you. Real New Zealand club price lists usually run from about $100 to $500 for the small things, $1,000 to $2,500 for team and kit sponsors, and $3,000 and up for naming rights. Start there and adjust.

Do we have to take every sponsor who asks?

No. You see who the business is before you say yes, and you can decline anyone who does not fit the club.

Our committee is not very online. Is that a problem?

No. Joel can set the listing up with you over the phone, and you approve sponsors from an email.

Can we list a one-day tournament?

Yes. List it for the dates it runs, and it comes down when the tournament is over.
